Today TAPESTRY talks to young Zimbabwean born poet and storyteller Nathan Chakuchichi. He has been in South Africa for the last two years after jumping the border in 2005 leaving behind his band, the Black Stars. Chakuchichi plays the traditional mbira instrument and together with the Black Stars have one album under their belt called Chimurenga Success. He says the chimurenga music is inspired by the aspirations of ordinary people of Zimbabwe.
