&lt;p&gt;Cadbury Nigeria posts 9-month pretax loss&lt;/p&gt;&#xD;

&lt;p&gt;The Nigerian unit of British confectioner Cadbury posted a 29 percent wider pretax loss of 1.27 billion naira for the nine months to the end of September.&lt;br&gt;&#xD;
Turnover rose to 18.93 billion naira from 17.54 billion last year, the company said in a filing to the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Friday.&lt;br&gt;&#xD;
The debt-laden company last month concluded a 22.2 billion naira rights issues to boost its capital base and reduce its interest costs.&lt;br&gt;&#xD;
It said its short-term borrowings stood at 15.29 billion naira, while trade credit peaked at 1.96 billion naira in the period.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
